The Energy Efficiency (Energy Consumption Rate) of my “Nissan LEAF” is measured.

Definition:

Energy Efficiency (Energy Consumption Rate) is expressed by km/kWh.

Measuring conditions:

  • Eco-mode is ON.
  • Measuring tool is “Nissan Connect”.

Energy Efficiency (Energy Consumption Rate) vs Months

The following figure shows the monthly Energy Efficiency, which is significantly influenced by the use of the air conditioner.

  • The Energy Efficiency for a month , i.e, Oct., Nov., Apr., May., Jun. when the air-conditioner is hardly used is about 7.7km/kWh.
  • The Energy Efficiency for a month , i.e, Dec., Jan., Feb., Jul., Aug., Sep. when the air-conditioner is often used is about 6.5km/kWh.

Note1: Battery Capacity vs All-electric Range as of 2019

The following figure shows Battery Capacity vs All-electric Range as of 2019. The gradient 6.017 of the line gives the averaged Energy Efficiency (km/kWh).

Note2: Osaka Motor Show in 2017

In the Osaka Motor Show held in Dec. 2017, Electric Vehicle, Auto pilot and AI attracted attention. The folloinw picture is Nissan LEAF right after the full model change (Oct. 2nd, 2017).

Tesla’s Model X launched in September 16th, 2016.

Many people were waiting at the entrance of the venue (Intex Osaka).
